The Electronic Book at the Book Culture Museum
Currently Johan Bergkvist Researcher (Aug 1993-) is working on three different projects related to knowledge handling in the museums.
- Bokkulturen
In this project the history of the written word is presented from medieval manuscripts to the electronic book of today. KBS-Media presents a
specially designed
Electronic Book at the permament exhibition. The visitor learns
about and explores the new 'electronic' book and has all the world under his/her
fingertips.
- The museum of sketches
This project (under application) aims to present the collections and the knowledge connected to them in a hypermedia application. The material will be available through kiosks in the museum and on the web.
- The county museums
Project under application aiming at increasing the internal museum
competence for in-house development of networked multimedia tools
and adapted multimedia supported visitor access.
Johan is the author of the report "Multimedia i Museer" a description
on how multimedia can be used to enhance presentations of museum exhibits.
Multimedia i Museer will soon be available in English. The Swedish version is
available by
ftp from kbslab3.kstr.lth.se.
KBS-Media Lab is also engaged in the build-up of the Lund University
